VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Authorities responded to a two vehicle crash in Barnes County north of Urbana, North Dakota on Friday, May 14th about 8 o’clock in the morning.
Members from the Valley City Rural Fire District and Sanborn Fire Department responded to the crash. No life threatening injuries were reported. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Firefighters also responded to a grass fire northwest of Valley City near Barnes County 19 known as the River Road on Friday, May 14th about 12:40pm. No structures were burned in the grass fire and no injuries reported.

SANBORN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Area fire fighters responded to several grass fires in Barnes County on Thursday, April 8th.
Sanborn Fire Chief Tim Schwehr said they protected a farmstead and machinery along North Dakota Highway One northeast of Sanborn.
Schwehr said no injuries or structural damage was reported in the grass fire. He said fire fighters were on the scene for more than seven hours.
Further north along Highway One members of the Valley City Rural Fire District responded to two grass fires according to Fire Chief Scott Magnuson.
No injuries or structural damage was reported in either grass fire.
ROGERS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Firefighters from the Valley City Rural Fire District responded to a call of hay bales burning on a trailer east of Rogers, ND on Saturday, February 20th.
The semi driver, who was hauling hay bales saw they were burning on his trailer. He was able to pull over, unhook the trailer and drive the semi away from the fire. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not released. Firefighters from the Valley City Rural Fire District as well as the North Dakota Highway Patrol and Barnes County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call.
