Local school tied for highest number COVID-19 cases in province
McKellar Park Central Public School has reported 12 positive COVID-19 cases among students in the last two weeks.

THUNDER BAY - Several schools in the Thunder Bay district are reporting multiple cases of COVID-19 among students and staff, with one school tied for the highest number of positive cases in the province recorded in the last two weeks.
According to the provincial government COVID-19 data tracking, McKellar Park Central Public School has reported 12 students testing positive for COVID-19, tying it with an Ottawa area school for the most infections in a school setting in the last two weeks.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting two coronavirus cases associated with Valley Central Public School.
Health officials believe at this time, there is no evidence that the virus has spread in the school setting and is not considered an outbreak.
We are told Lakehead Public Schools and the TBDHU are working closely to investigate and manage the situation.
