Some schools to cancel in-person classes Wednesday due to snow

winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories are in place for much of Utah Tuesday night through Wednesday, schools are evaluating whether to hold in-person classes.
So far, the Canyons School District has announced that it will conduct remote learning only.
An email sent to parents and guardians read:
Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021 will be a remote-learning day for all students because of expected heavy snow and dangerous road conditions. CSD is heeding the recommendation of Utah transportation officials to avoid traveling on roads Wednesday morning. This means all schools and District Offices will be closed for the day, but instruction will continue in line with new state rules that allow school districts to treat âsnow daysâ as remote-learning days.
