Interim President of the union, Pilirani Kapolo has confirmed .
Kapolo has told local reporters Online today that Secondary School Teachers Union is a break away from Teachers Union of Malawi , TUM accusing the TUM leadership of lack of transparency on the use of monthly financial contributions and ignoring the welfare of secondary school teachers and students since its establishment.
TUM president Willy Malimba says they have not received any communication about the formation of the new union but said there is nothing wrong for such an initiative because it is their right.
