LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) The School District of La Crosse will require students and staff to wear masks for the rest of the school year, Superintendent Aaron Engel announced Friday.
“We had another week of declining COVID cases and quarantines in our schools. That said, we still had to quarantine students and in one case a classroom late this week. Please continue to follow our mitigation strategies and stay home and get tested if experiencing symptoms. Your assistance will allow us to complete the school year successfully with as many students as possible attending in person through the last day of school,” Engel said in an email.

One of the grants will provide $5,000 in match funds towards the purchase of a full dome projection system for Central High School planetarium.
“I would pick up the occasional grade school course but now having it written into the district science plan. Just getting thousands of kids a year through here. It’s just going to be exciting,” said Central High School planetarium director Chad Wilkinson.
