Schools for Classes 5 to 12 will reopen in the rural parts of Maharashtra s Thane district from January 27, an official said on Friday. As per an official release, district Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde issued directions to reopen schools of all mediums, including ashram schools, which have remained shut since the last 10 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

School Reopening News: The Himachal Pradesh government on Friday issued an order to partially reopen schools from February 1. The state government said that the COVID guidelines will be strictly followed by students and teachers in the school. The state government has also made social distancing and wearing face masks mandatory for students and teachers.
Industrial training institutes, and polytechnic and engineering colleges in the state will also open from February 1. The decision to reopen these institutions was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jairam Thakur after reviewing the current coronavirus situation in Himachal Pradesh.

Schools in Punjab would reopen from tomorrow – January 7, 2021 for students of classes 5 to 8. Punjab Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla has stated that after repeated requests from parents, the state government has decided to allow physical classes for students of clases 5 to 8 from January 7. The schools would be held from 10 am to 3 pm. The order is application to all government, semi government and private schools.
