American carnage: Fired Wisconsin casino restaurant manager kills two co-workers, injures another before being killed by police Three people are dead and another seriously injured after a workplace shooting this past Saturday at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, which is attached to the Oneida Casino just outside the city of Green Bay. Former food and beverage manager, Bruce K. Pofahl, 62, shot and killed former co-workers Ian J. Simpson, 32, and Jacob T. Bartel, 35, before seriously injuring another former co-worker, 28-year-old Danny Mulligan, in a targeted attack that began Saturday evening inside the Duck Creek Kitchen + Bar, which is located inside the Oneida Casino. According to authorities, Pofahl was looking to target his former manager who was not working at the time.

Suspected casino shooter had a restraining order against him

May 3, 2021 3:22 PM The man identified as the gunman in Saturday night’s shooting at the Oneida Casino had a restraining order against him at the time. According to Brown County Court records, a temporary order was issued against Bruce Pofahl at the request of a woman on March 9th–with a permanent injunction issued on March 23rd. The complaint was based on accusations of harassment. A note in the file adds that there was no firearm restriction placed on Pofahl at the time the permanent restraining order was issued. Investigators have stated that Pofahl’s “main target” was not working at the casino restaurant on the night of the shootings.

Oneida shooting: Bruce Pofahl threatened former Radisson coworker

According to court records, Brown County Court Commissioner Phoebe Mix granted a temporary restraining order against Pofahl on March 9 on behalf of a restaurant employee who previously supervised Pofahl. The employee, in documents filed that month, said Pofahl sent her threatening text messages and emails over the course of a few weeks that included pictures of her home and threats against her family. Pofahl made comments like time s up in the messages, according to the employee. She said the behavior continued even after police contacted him multiple times. Hotel staff were also aware of the situation and shared her concerns.
