NEW ULM U.S. Rep. Jim Hagedorn of Minnesota’s First District paid a visit to New Ulm, Monday.
Hagedorn visited multiple businesses and organizations, including United Commercial Upholstery, Brown County Public Health and the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce.
In speaking with businesses, Hagedorn said the number one issue was not being able to find labor. He said it was not even a demand for a skilled workforce, but simply a workforce. Many workers have not returned to work after the COVID pandemic.
“Some of it is because in the state of Minnesota we had lockdowns too long,” he said. “Some ended up with some extra childcare and other issues that made it tougher to return to the workforce.”

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A COVID-19 vaccination clinic inside Lambeau Field is relocating, but will remain at the stadium.
The clinic, operated by Bellin Health, Brown County Public Health and the Green Bay Packers, will move from the stadium’s atrium to the terrace suites on level five.
“The Atrium has served us well, and the Terrace Suites space will continue to provide everything we need to vaccinate on a large scale with an eye toward ending this pandemic,” said Bellin’s Sherry LaFond, one of two operational leads for the Lambeau Field site, in a news release. “We are so grateful for this partnership, which has allowed us to vaccinate more than 32,000 at Lambeau Field to date. As we like to say, we’re sacking COVID one shot at a time.”

The community COVID-19 vaccination site at Lambeau Field will make a short move effective Monday, May 10, taking up residence in the Terrace Suites on Level 5 of the stadium s south side as the important work of getting shots in arms continues.
A joint effort of Bellin Health, Brown County Public Health and the Green Bay Packers, the clinic opened in the Lambeau Field Atrium on March 17. The move is being made to accommodate other events planned for the Atrium space as spring transitions into summer. The new location will allow individuals to receive their vaccine with a view, as the Terrace Suites overlook Lambeau Field and the seating bowl.
