Updated Dec 17, 2020;
While it may have been difficult for some Thursday morning to find motivation to shovel out their vehicle to commute into work, Dr. Timothy Boardman couldn’t wait.
Boardman, an emergency medicine specialist at UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester, will receive Pfizer’s COVID vaccine on Thursday.
Boardman shared a tweet Thursday morning of his snow-covered Jeep Wrangler with the caption, “Shoveling myself out to get my #CovidVaccine today!” followed by “#ThisIsOurShot”.
Boardman is an emergency physician with UMass and an Emergency Medical Services Fellow, which means his is completing an extra year of training in EMS and Prehospital care.
