LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) must stay as the guarding force of the country’s peace and integrity, said Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador (
pix).
In his last media conference as the Inspector-General of Police, Abdul Hamid said in his two years heading the force, he had fought corruption and raised the integrity of PDRM.
“I fought corruption within the force.I do not want the force to be used to scare the people by carrying out dirty work.
“PDRM should be fair regardless of race, religion and people,” he said and hoped his successor would continue the efforts to eradicate corrupt practices among police officers and personnel.

PETALING JAYA: An elite team that embodies the virtues of integrity, bravery and morality is critical to overcome the illegal cigarettes super cartel, said a former police chief of Sarawak, Datuk Dr. Yusoff Nook.
His comments came following recent reports of four officers from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department being charged for releasing two containers of seized illegal cigarettes. “This unprecedented case underscores the severity of criminal infiltration into our law enforcement agencies that have propelled Malaysia into the No. 1 spot of illegal cigarettes trafficking in the world,” he said in a statement today.

LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), through Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), will improve the e-payment platform and MyBayar Saman application to further increase the collection of summonses.
As at yesterday, 814,622 users had registered with the MyBayar Saman since its inception on March 25, said JSPT director Datuk Azisman Alias.
“We are in the process of updating the system, among others, by introducing collections of summonses such as registration for companies and foreigners, and individual payment limits,” he told
Bernama.
Thus far, MyBayar Saman is the sole provider of online payment systems for the public to pay summonses issued by PDRM.
