PETALING JAYA: The country saw 207 deaths yesterday, a second consecutive day of over 200 deaths, after a similar number was recorded on Sunday.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 96 of the deaths were reported in Selangor while 34 were in Kuala Lumpur.
“Johor recorded 21 deaths, Melaka (17), Kedah (15), Negri Sembilan (seven), and Kelantan (five).
“In Sabah and Terengganu, three deaths were reported in each state, while two deaths were reported in Sarawak and Pahang respectively.
“In Penang and Labuan, one death each was reported there,” he said in a statement.
Dr Noor Hisham also said as of Monday, the nation’s infectivity rate was 1.14.
