KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 Malaysia reported a spike in Covid-19 cases today, registering 1,854 new infections, Health director-general Tan Sri Noor Hisham Abdullah announced. Sarawak recorded the most number of cases at 555, followed by Selangor with 403 cases, Penang with 176 cases, Sabah with 139 cases, the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur with 135 cases and Johor with 103 cases. Five deaths were also recorded today, with three of the deaths reported in Sarawak, and one each in Sabah and Kuala Lumpur

Sunway Medical Centre designated as Covid-19 vaccination centre for frontliners

KUALA LUMPUR (March 12): Sunway Medical Centre at Sunway City in Selangor has been designated as a Covid-19 vaccination centre and is administering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to frontliners as part of phase one of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme. In a statement on Wednesday, the medical facility which is owned by diversified conglomerate Sunway Bhd said it will serve as a vaccination centre for Assunta Hospital, Columbia Asia Hospital Puchong, Columbia Asia Hospital Petaling Jaya, Kelana Jaya Medical Centre, KPMC Bandar Puteri, SALAM Shah Alam Specialist Hospital, Thomson Hospital, Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital, QHC Hospital and Hospital Bersalin, Klinik Pakar & PoliKlinik Pusat Rawatan Islam (PCSB) Pusrawi.
