Nevada County police blotter: Missing father is found

GRASS VALLEY POLICE DEPARTMENT 8:50 a.m. A caller from the 300 block of Hazel Lane reported that his 79-year-old father, who had been previously reported as missing, had been found safely. 10:24 a.m. A caller from a senior residential living community on Eureka Street reported multiple thefts on the property that had occurred recently. The caller said that some other residents in the complex had decided not to report the incidents to police, even in one case where a suspect was allegedly caught in the act of stealing. 2:30 p.m. A caller from a grocery store on the 800 block of Sutton Way reported an ongoing issue concerning two juveniles on top of the store throwing windshield wipers off the roof.

Burst water pipe causing loss of water supply in Harlow

The areas water supplier Affinity Water has confirmed a loss of supply in several streets today. Repair teams are on site and as of 11am had dug down to the pipe to investigate the issue. Route 65 to be shut down for hours after tree topples onto tractor-trailer near Sewickley

A stretch of Route 65 near Sewickley reopened Friday night after being closed for about 6½ hours because of a tree that toppled onto a tractor-trailer. The southbound lanes of the busy highway parallel to the Ohio River reopened at about 9:30 p.m., while the traffic on northbound lanes was moving by 6 p.m., PennDOT officials said. The accident near the intersection of the Ohio River Boulevard and Walnut Street closed a portion of the highway in both directions at about 3 p.m. as crews worked to clear the wreckage.

Police arrest teenager after boy stabbed in Abbots Langley

Boy arrested after 15-year-old stabbed A teenager has been arrested by police investigating the stabbing of a 15-year-old. Police, including armed officers, were called to reports of a serious assault in Abbots Langley yesterday afternoon (February 3). A boy sustained one stab wound during the incident, which is believed to have taken place between 4.30pm and 5pm in the Rosehill Gardens area, and he was taken to hospital. Hertfordshire Constabulary has said the boy remains in a stable condition but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Numerous police officers attended the scene including armed and dog units and a 15-year-old boy from Abbots Langley was later arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and taken into police custody.
