Mint juleps are as much a tradition at the Kentucky Derby as fancy hats. Traditionally, they are served on race day in silver cups at Church Hill Downs where they usually sell nearly 120,000 of the drinks.
It requires nearly 10,000 bottles of Old Forester Mint Julep Ready-to-Serve Cocktail, 1,000 pounds of freshly harvested mint and 60,000 pounds of ice.
Around the country people will make mint juleps to sip while viewing the big race.
