Officials investigating racist remarks written on Old Rochester Junior High bathroom wall

MATTAPOISETT Old Rochester Regional School District Superintendent Michael S. Nelson issued the following statement Wednesday regarding an investigation into racist remarks written on a school bathroom wall:
“The Old Rochester Regional School District is investigating after racist remarks and racial epithets were found written on a bathroom wall inside the ORR Junior High School.
“On Monday, May 17, school administrators were notified by a student about the racist vandalism. An investigation was immediately launched by school officials and the district s School Resource Officer is assisting with the investigation.
