The prime minister said on Twitter that he wanted to express solidarity with the people of India as they battle a dangerous wave of COVID-19. Our prayers for a speedy recovery go to all those suffering from the pandemic in our neighborhood and the world, said Khan, stressing that the world needs to fight the global challenge confronting humanity together. Earlier in the day, Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, on behalf of the people of Pakistan, also expressed support and sympathies to the affected families in the south Asian country where the pandemic wave is spreading fast.

Image Source: IANS News Islamabad, April 20 : Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi is scheduled to embark on a three-day official visit to Iran from Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations, the Foreign Ministry in Islamabad said in a statement. The Ministry said Qureshi will have delegation-level talks with his Iranian counterpart to review the bilateral relations with a view to further deepening bilateral cooperation in diverse fields, reports Xinhua news agency. The two sides are expected to discuss regional security including the latest developments in the Afghan peace process and Kashmir issue, said the statement, adding that deliberations on strengthening regional cooperation under the Economic Cooperation Organization will be held.
