Pims employees optimistic about meeting with PM s aide tomorrow - Pakistan

Photo by Muhammad Asim/File ISLAMABAD: Though the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences’ (Pims) employees have warned of complete closure of hospital next week, both the government and employees leaders are optimistic about their meeting with Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) Dr Faisal Sultan on Monday (tomorrow). President Dr Arif Alvi had promulgated the ordinance in November 2020 placing the hospital under the control of Board of Governors (BoG). According to the ordinance, BoG will deal with the affairs of Pims once it becomes MTI. The members have been appointed and notified by the Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) on the recommendation of a search and nomination council.

RAWALPINDI: Five women died of Covid-19 in Rawalpindi on Thursday while 16 more people tested positive and 49 patients were discharged from hospitals after their recovery from the disease. Kamal Khatoon, 76, a resident of New Lalazar, was taken to Fauji Foundation Hospital on Feb 2 where she died on Thursday. Irshad Begum, 57, a resident of Bahria Town, died at Bahria Hospital where she was admitted on Feb 3. Husan Ara, 76, was admitted to Shifa International Hospital from Khyaban-i-Sir Syed on Feb 3 where she passed away. Noor Fatima, 55, a resident of Tamasmabad, died at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) where she was hospitalised on Feb 3.
