13 MQM workers convicted in 2015 case of arms discovery during raid on Nine Zero Karachi April 24, 2021 An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday convicted 13 workers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and acquitted one as it concluded the case of discovery of a huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives from the party’s headquarters Nine Zero in a pre-dawn raid by the Rangers six years ago. The paramilitary force had claimed that they seized a total of 112 weapons, including seven G22 rifles, five G3 rifles, four 8mm rifles, 19 7mm rifles, two light machine guns, 19 sub-machine guns, two .222 rifles, 22 12bore repeaters, two .223 rifles, 11 GSAS rifles, one .22 rifle, 14 30bore pistols and four 9mm pistols, along with over 11,750 rounds of different kinds.

Scores of TLP activists remanded in terrorism cases - Newspaper

KARACHI: The administrative judge of antiterrorism courts has remanded in police custody scores of workers of the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan detained for allegedly staging violent protests, blocking main roads and terrorism in the city against the arrest of their party chief Saad Hussain Rizvi. Police detained dozens of TLP activists for allegedly resorting to violence during protests against their party chief’s arrest and booked them in cases registered at different police stations on Tuesday. The investigating officers of the relevant police stations produced the suspects before the administrative judge to seek their physical remand for interrogation and investigation. They informed the judge that the suspects were activists of the TLP and had indulged in violent activities and blocked main roads and highways in different areas of the metropolis following arrest of Saad Rizvi on April 13.

The accused are identified as Saddam Hussain alias Ali and Saleem alias Sallu. The accused are allegedly involved in various incidents of street crime and robberies in different areas of Karachi, said a Rangers spokesperson on Thursday. A motorcycle reportedly used in a robbery was also recovered from their possession which was stolen from the area of Defence Police Station in November 2020. During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed that in November 2020, a man was robbed by them in Soldier Bazaar while in February 2021, a motorcyclist was robbed in PECHS. The suspects can be easily identified in the footage. The arrested accused have been handed over to the police for legal action. Raids are being carried out to arrest other accomplices of the accused.
