A 27-year-old man has been sentenced to three years in prison on charges stemming from a fight in the Marion County jail and a theft from a Yellville business.

A 27-year-old Yellville man appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court last week facing the revocation of a 36-month suspended sentence handed down in 2019.
Houston Dale Casey admitted to violating the terms and conditions of his probation. The probation was revoked and Casey was given a three-year prison sentence.
According to the probable cause affidavit in the 2019 case, Casey was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by a Mountain Home police officer on Oct. 13, 2019 on a minor traffic infraction.
The officer reported detecting the strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
During the stop, Casey was searched and found to be in possession of an eyeglass case containing two used syringes and a glass-smoking pipe used to ingest methamphetamine.

A man arrested after being found naked and running in circles claiming snakes were after him appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
Twenty-six-year-old Austin Greer of Jordan pled guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and commercial burglary and was put on probation for five years.
He was taken into custody shortly before 1 a.m. Sept. 3 last year.
According to the probable cause affidavit the incident began when a Baxter County sheriff’s deputy responded to a burglar alarm at Woods Feed Store along Highway 177 South.
The deputy reported the business owner also came to the scene.
The deputy knew Greer from previous contacts and asked him what was causing his odd behavior.
