A Paragould man with warrants out for his arrest was picked up Sunday morning in Gassville and is facing additional charges. Thirty-two-year-old Daniel Hoskins is in the Baxter County Detention Center with bond set at $25,000.
According to the report, a Gassville officer drove through the parking lot of a convenience store just after 10 a.m. and observed a male standing next to a vehicle at a gas pump. The male was reportedly trying to hide his face. The officer ran the license plate and determined through investigation the male was Hoskins. He had an outstanding felony nationwide warrant from the parole board and misdemeanor warrants from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office and the Mountain Home Police Department.

Gavin Reed of Midway was arrested Nov. 25 on a string of drug charges, only to be picked up again and jailed 53 days later.
He was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center Jan. 16 on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Reed entered a not guilty plea to the new charge against him during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and was ordered to reappear Feb. 8.
His latest charge was filed after a vehicle in which he was riding was stopped by an Arkansas State Police trooper for a minor traffic infraction.

A man alleged to have scattered an estimated $74,000 in bad checks in Baxter County and a number of other Arkansas locations has been jailed.
Forty-eight-year-old Bryan Louis Herring listed a Batesville address when he was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Herring was declared a fugitive in Baxter County Aug. 10 last year, when he failed to show up for a scheduled circuit court appearance.
In addition to Baxter County, Herring is being sought in Benton, Craighead, Independence, Izard, Sharp and Washington counties in Arkansas and at least one other state, according to court records.

Three of the four people now charged in the murder of 35-year-old Cody Stradford have entered not guilty pleas.
Allison Cunningham of Mountain Home who was arrested in Hidalgo County, Texas with another person accused in connection with Stradford’s death, 28-year-old Ryan Lindsey, appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
Cunningham entered a not guilty plea to charges of first-degree murder, arson, kidnapping, second-degree battery and possession of a firearm by a felon.
She was ordered to reappear Feb. 11.
Cunningham and Lindsey were arrested on Dec. 17 last year. She was returned from Texas and booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on Jan. 13.

A Mountain Home man arrested twice within a four-day span pled guilty to the charges against him during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Monday.
Thirty-year-old Tommy Dwight Gattis was given three years in prison.
He was first booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on Dec. 4 last year and rearrested a few days later on additional drug charges.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the first arrest came when Gattis was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over by an Arkansas State trooper.
There were two other adults – 52-year-old Tommy Hitt II and 27-year-old Trystina Meadows in the SUV, as well as a juvenile.
