The judge wants to help increase the vaccination rate in Juarez before the possibility of the U.S.-Mexico border opening with no restrictions on non-essential travel. Right now, the restrictions on non-essential travel could end by June 21. “I’m going to do everything possible to have hubs, mega-sites for people, that when they do open, that they can go into the Coliseum or different places like that to protect to protect them and protect their community,” Samaniego explained.
