Baby rescued after being found in Lake Orion woods

LAKE ORION, Mich. (FOX 2) - The Oakland County Sheriff s Office said a 4-month-oldy boy was found abandoned in the woods Wednesday and has been taken to the hospital to be evaluated.
According to the sheriff s office, the baby was found in the woods in Lake Orion on Wednesday near the intersection of Joslyn and Waldon, which is about 2 miles west of US 24 and 3 miles north of I-75.
In a press release from the sheriff s office, deputies were originally called by two people who said a woman was hiding in the bushes in the area and had been ringing doorbells. When deputies arrived, the woman was gone but staff from Waldon Middle School reported a frantic woman had been pounding on the locked doors of the school.

GREER, S.C. (WYFF) - The Spartanburg County Coronerâs Office is investigating after a baby was found in a bag at the door of Pelham ER around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
The Coronerâs Office and Greer Police Department are investigating, according to a release from the office.
The babyâs family has not yet been located or identified.

The box is climate controlled with a baby bed and alerts the facility when a baby is placed inside.

The fundraiser will install a Safe Haven Baby Box at Franciscan Health in Crawfordsville.
The box is climate controlled with a baby bed and alerts the facility when a baby is placed inside.
Indiana s Safe Haven Law allows a woman to legally and safely give up an unharmed newborn baby at a Safe Haven location, including fire and police stations.
However, this would give women another option if they fear being recognized, questioned or even arrested.
