Employers, unions want consistent vaccine rules in workplaces Save Share Employer groups have expressed concern over liability issues from coronavirus outbreaks once the vaccines begin to be rolled out in top level talks with the federal government and unions. With Industrial Relations Minister Christian Porter telling the meeting the federal government would not mandate vaccines in workplaces, it is expected states and territories will decide what industries should have their workers immunised as part of their employment. Industrial Relations Minister Christian Porter is holding talks with unions and employers on how the vaccine rollout will affect workplaces.  Alex Ellinghausen The business groups and unions told Mr Porter it was important the vaccine was voluntary in workplaces, where possible, to build up public confidence in the program.
