Leh (Ladakh) [India], January 11 (ANI): Amid the ongoing military standoff with China, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat on Monday visited Ladakh sector and reviewed operational preparedness at Line of Actual Control (LAC). Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat arrived at Ladakh today and was received by Lt Gen YK Joshi, Army Commander, Northern Command. He reviewed operational preparedness and called on Lieutenant Governor Radha Krishna Mathur, said Northern Command, Indian Army.

Leh: Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat is underway a visit to Ladakh sector where he would be briefed on the current situation at the Line of Actual Control by the top commanders of the Leh-based ‘Fire and Fury Corps’.
He would also be informed on the operational readiness of the forces deployed there, news agency ANI reported. The visit of the CDS comes amidst the ongoing military conflict with China. General Rawat is also expected to meet troops from other forces also during the visit.
Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat is on a visit to Ladakh to review the country's overall military preparedness as thousands of Indian and Chinese troops remained deployed in a high state of combat readiness in various mountainous locations in the region amid the eight-month-long border standoff.
