MANSFIELD - Lt. Dan Crow of the Mansfield Fire Department was promoted to captain Monday in a ceremony held at the fire station at 140 E. Third St. Crow, who oversees the Fire Prevention Bureau, asked firefighter Shawn Yerian to pin on his captain s badge during the promotional ceremony in the training room, which did not allow family members due to COVID 19 restrictions. The two friends started at the department on the same day in December of 2005. Mansfield Safety Service Director Lori Cope administered the oath of office.  Crow, 38, a native of the Cleveland area, said the duties of captain will remain the same for him with a few additions.
