States and Territories follow Morrison Government’s lead on Aussie shipbuilding jobs
Every Australian state and territory is set to join forces with the Morrison Government to develop a skilled national naval shipbuilding workforce by signing Cooperation Agreements with the Government’s Naval Shipbuilding College.
The cooperation agreements commit the states and territories to working with the Naval Shipbuilding College to establish and develop new workforce pipelines and ensure there are clear career pathways for jobseekers into the naval shipbuilding sector.
Minister for Defence Industry Melissa Price said the agreements supported a nation-wide effort to developing the future workforce by providing the education and training required to deliver a sovereign shipbuilding capability.

Australian warships in missile-firing exercises demonstrated the capabilities of its warships on Australia s east coast. Aussies are part of the Quad that is dedicated to containing the Chinese navy in the Indo-Pacific.
Three Hobart-class destroyers of the Royal Australian Navy had demo missile-firing of their newest missile tech conducted off the Australian east coast recently.
The Chinese People s Liberation Army and Navy are under threat by the militaristic action taken to expand in the Indo-Pacific at its neighbors expense. Australia has been developing its warfighting capacity to fight against Chinese hostility directed at those who oppose it.
Australia’s Most Advanced Warships Demonstrate Missile Firing Technology
The Royal Australian Navy has demonstrated the cutting edge cooperative missile-firing warfare technology of its three Hobart Class Destroyers in an exercise off Australia’s east coast.
As stability in the Indo-Pacific is threatened by the aggressive expansion of the Chinese regime’s regional military ambitions, Australia has been moving swiftly to sure up its defence capabilities and cooperation with regional allies.
The Navy’s HMAS Hobart, Brisbane, Sydney together for the first time conducted the recent joint tests, trials, and exercises to increase maritime security and stability in the region.

The Royal Australian Navy’s three Hobart Class Destroyers have exercised together for the first time, demonstrating their cooperative capabilities to increase maritime security and stability in our region.
HMA Ships Hobart, Brisbane and Sydney conducted joint tests, trials and exercises off the east coast of Australia, further developing their air and surface warfare capabilities.
Minister for Defence, Senator the Hon Linda Reynolds CSC said the exercise demonstrates Navy’s preparedness to respond to a more complex and contested maritime domain.
“The Hobart Class are the most capable and lethal warships Australia has ever built, increasing our interoperability with the United States and allowing us to work even closer with our allies and partners,” Minister Reynolds said.

Defence Scientist, Dr Sylvie Perreau, has been awarded the 2020 Minister’s Award for Achievement in Defence Science, for her excellence in signal processing and wireless networks within highly classified environments both nationally and internationally.
Minister for Defence, Senator the Hon Linda Reynolds CSC said the award recognises outstanding contributions made by Australian Defence scientists to Australian Defence Force capability.
“Dr Perreau has made significant contributions to the protection of Australian Defence Force personnel, contributing to Defence capability both technically and through liaison roles”, Minister Reynolds said.
“As a member of the Science in Australia Gender Equity Self-Assessment Team and Defence Science and Technology Group’s Disability Inclusion Group, Dr Perreau exemplifies Defence values and behaviours and is an all-encompassing member of the Defence workforc
