Written By: Sam Grant | × I write on behalf of climate-justice leaders and clean-energy advocates calling on businesses to hold the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce accountable for its obstruction of Minnesota’s clean-energy transition. While many prominent chamber members have pledged to eliminate their carbon footprints by 2050, the chamber itself has helped to block key clean-energy proposals in our state over the past five years.

Traffic pattern changes at Route 17 in Stafford County The new traffic pattern on Route 17 Business in Stafford County at Route 1034 (Short Street) and Route 1580 (Olde Forge Drive) has been adjusted to improve safety at the two intersections. U-turns on Route 17 Business at Olde Forge Drive and Short Street will be prohibited. Message boards will be activated tomorrow, March 11 to notify drivers to this traffic pattern change. Signage will be installed over the next several weeks to guide drivers on Route 17 Business southbound to turn right onto Short Street to access Route 17 northbound. Signs will direct drivers from Short Street to Thomas Lane to Olde Forge Drive instead of making a U-turn.

Work will begin at the Vermont border and proceed south to the Connecticut state line, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation said Tuesday. Renumbering work is also continuing on I-95 in eastern Massachusetts. The work follows renumbering on Interstate 90, also known as the MassPike, and elsewhere in the state to bring Massachusetts into compliance with federal regulations and numbering solutions already used in nearly all the United States. The milepost sign installation operations will take place during overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. . the following day. The work is anticipated to be completed in two weeks.
