New Owners Re-opening Old School Bar and Grill in Utica
Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic closed the Old School Bar and Grill around Thanksgiving 2020, but it will re-open soon with some very excited new owners.
The new restaurateurs of Old School are Jeff and Jessica (Arcuri) Reilly of East Utica and Brandon and Lexi (Zakala) Bertrand of Rome. Jeff and Jessica both have experience in the bar and food industry. Jessica is also a self-taught chef and looks forward to wowing you with her culinary skills in a family-friendly atmosphere.

This is a dream come true for high school sweethearts Brandon and Lexi, as they always hoped to own their own establishment. Brandon has restaurant experience and is passionate about cooking, eating, and entertaining, while Lexi s fun-loving personality will charm their customers.
Cuomo Delivers Budget Address
With New York state billions of dollars in the red, Governor Andrew Cuomo unveiled his 2022 Executive Budget proposal in Albany on Tuesday..
Cuomo says if the federal government doesn’t allocate $15 billion in funding to New York, programs could be cut and taxes may be raised.
The governor indicates he ll pursue legal action if New York receives less than the $15 billion mark. The story of COVID has many chapters - we launched the battle last year and now we must not only finish it, but begin an aggressive post-COVID reconstruction, Cuomo said.
Cuomo is also proposing a $130 million Pandemic Recovery and Restart Program.
When I was growing up right here in the Treasure Valley, things were pretty different and it wasn t even that long ago! I was a Nampa kid that went to Bishop Kelly High School in Boise. That meant I had a commute. each morning be it by the Nampa Bishop Kelly commuter bus or if sports were in session, I was driving. I had that commute down to an art. If you got on the I-84 at 6:59 a.m. it was smooth sailing. If you were getting on the I-84 at about 7:03 a.m. or later. you were going to be late true story! Back when, as the locals will tell you, there was hardly anything built next to the freeway!
