09:45 | Tumbes (Tumbes region), Mar. 5. An ISO tank truck carrying 20 tons of medical oxygen from Ecuador entered Peru s northern Tumbes region, following the import procedures carried out by the Special Legacy Project to treat COVID-19 patients in Amazonas region.
On Thursday afternoon, the vehicle entered the Binational Border Service Center (Cebaf), where it passed the respective customs controls.
Following completion of the procedures, the truck continued its journey to the provinces of Bagua and Utcubamba, where the COVID-19 Temporary Attention and Isolation Centers (CAATs) operate. These facilities had been set up and furnished by the Pan American Games Special Legacy Project.
