Chiropractor Durbin returns to Siskiyou, follows in her parents footsteps

Mount Shasta Herald Dr. Hannah Durbin-Defebvre of Weed announced last week the opening of her new practice in Mount Shasta at 633 Lassen Lane, Suite 4. Hannah is not new to chiropractic. Her growing experience and passion stem from her years in high school working in her parent’s office, Weed Chiropractic Clinic. Doctors Scott Durbin and Neva Barnett (happily retired) served patients throughout Siskiyou County since 1990. Following College of the Siskiyous, Hannah attended San Francisco State University, graduating in 2013 with a BS in Human Physiology. She worked at the pharmaceutical company Genentech, located in the Bay Area, on a team that manufactured AVASTIN®, a life-saving cancer medication.

Scholarships for Franklin Park seniors Applications for the Franklin Park Community Scholarship are now available for any graduating senior who resides in the borough. Each year Franklin Park typically awards 10 $1,000 scholarships. One scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing post-secondary education at a trade or technical school. This scholarship is named for Melvin D. Lubert, a borough employee who passed away unexpectedly while on duty at the Public Works Department. Up to two scholarships may be awarded to qualified junior firefighters. The remaining scholarships are awarded based on community service, academic and other criteria. College dean’s list, graduates The following students from the North Hills area were recognized for their academic achievement during the fall 2020 semester by being named to the dean’s, president’s or provost’s list at the college or university they attend:
