The city of Grand Junction released updated election results Thursday, with no major changes in any of the races.

In Grand Junction’s municipal election Tuesday, final unofficial results showed two of the three contested City Council races to be blowouts, with one race still close.

In preliminary voting Tuesday, Scott Beilfuss, Cody Kennedy and Jason Nguyen were on track to be Grand Junction’s newest City Council members.

In the first round of election results Tuesday, the ballot initiative supporting a recreation center in Grand Junction was leading by a large margin, 7,528 to 4,995.

Unofficial results of the Grand Junction Municipal elections are in. The last of the votes will be counted and numbers will be updated later tonight.

After the eight-day curing period has elapsed, the official results will be posted to the City’s Election page.

The latest city's municipal election results as of this morning show that Cody Kennedy is leading the race for city council with 7,106, while Janie Porta is in second place with 2,304 votes.

Grand Junction will have a new recreation center and the Grand Junction will have three new city council members.
