BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Rural parishes in Louisiana are struggling to keep up with the vaccine demands.
For example, Pointe Coupee Parish only has one pharmacy giving out the shots. They had to stop putting names on their waiting list because they are not sure when or how much their next vaccine shipment will be.

All of this is leading to a huge demand on the pharmacy staff.

BATON ROUGE - Amid ongoing COVID-19 concerns, the 2021 Spanish Town Mardi Gras parade won t roll through downtown on Feb. 13, after the city-parish did not approve plans, board president Robert King tells WBRZ.
While officials hope to reschedule the 41st installment of the pink parade later in the year, it s unclear when that would be.
As other Baton Rouge Mardi Gras krewes, like Orion and Southdowns, previously nixed plans for their 2021 parades, Spanish Town officials had been holding out hope.

POINTE COUPEE, La. (WAFB) - A 34-year-old man from Pointe Coupee has been arrested for child pornography charges by Attorney General Jeff Landryâs Cyber Crime Unit.
âI am proud of the work my Cyber Crime Unit has done during the pandemic and will continue to do through these times of increased online activity,â said Attorney General Landry. âWe will never cease in our efforts to investigate and arrest those committing Internet crimes against children, heinous offenses that inflict lifelong damage on their victims.â
