Japanese telecom company NTT and India s Telecommunications Consultants of India Limited (TCIL) have come together to cooperate in the areas of fifth-generation (5G) technology, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and submarine cable systems.
The two-year-long extendable deal with NTT Advanced Technologies would enable both companies to co-provide services in the telecom, networking, information, and related applications to their customers.

CHENNAI: The rapid rise in COVID-19 cases across the state has worried government employees who fear they could contract the virus during work. Already, many top government officials have tested positive but they have continued with their work.
With the Chennai Corporation warning of a massive spurt in cases next month, many employees have urged their department heads to conduct RT-PCR tests for them.
It is learnt that some departments like Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority have yielded to the request and tested a total of 164 employees for COVID-19. This also comes after some employees tested positive a few days ago.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced new international roaming special tariff vouchers (STVs) starting at Rs 895. The state-run telecom operator announced the same via its Chennai
Twitter handle. There are three new STVs, and all of them are for users travelling to Bhutan. All three vouchers are in effect starting today, i.e., March 23, 2021, meaning Indians travelling to Bhutan can recharge with these plans.

Besides that, BSNL comes with a Rs 1999 prepaid plan which offers 3GB of daily data with unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day for 365 days.
It also gives free BSNL tunes with an unlimited song change option.

BSNL’s Rs 397 prepaid recharge plan provides unlimited voice calls and 2GB daily data for 60 days and the total validity for this plan is 1 year. The Rs 365 plan offers free Personalised Ring Back Tone (PRBT) and 100 free SMS per day and 2GB daily data after which the speed will come down to 80 Kbps.
