EDMONTON - Alberta s United Conservative government tabled its budget Thursday. Here are some of the highlights:
â No new taxes or tax increases.
â Deficit of $18.2 billion on estimated revenues of $43.7 billion.
â Spending of $57.3 billion before expenditures on COVID-19 and cancelled crude-by-rail contracts.
â Spending on COVID-19 to be $1.1 billion. An extra $1.8 billion as needed.
â Taxpayer-supported debt of almost $116 billion by March 2022. Annual debt interest charges almost $3 billion.
