Dharamsala, May 28 : Parliamentarians and members of Tibet Support Group in Switzerland, Canada, the UK, Baltic States, the EU, Chile, Germany and Norway have greeted the newly elected Tibetan leadership in exile led by Penpa Tsering, expressing their warm wishes and renewed support to the Tibetan cause.
Tsering, the political head of the Tibetan people globally known as Prime Minister-in-exile, took oath of office here on Thursday, which was virtually attended by Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama.

The Parliament of Latvia, known as the Seima, officially recognized and condemned the Armenian Genocide, adopting a declaration on Thursday with a vote of 58 to 11 with seven abstentions, Armenia’s outgoing Ambassador to Latvia Tigran Mkrtchyan announced.
On April 24, 2020, members of two parties in the Latvian parliament, the ruling New Conservatives and the Yes to Development Parties, made statements condemning the Armenian Genocide. On the initiative of these groups, as well as most of the representatives of the Agreement party, the process of recognizing the Armenian Genocide began in February, as a result of which a resolution-statement was submitted on April 23.

YEREVAN, MAY 7, ARMENPRESS. Head of the Armenia-Latvia parliamentary friendship group Anush Beghloyan thanked the Parliament of Latvia for the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide.
“As head of the Armenia-Latvia friendship group, I want to express my special gratitude to my colleague, head of the Latvia-Armenia friendship group Maria Golubeva who has also provided great support to the adoption of this resolution. We bow before and thank all political forces and members of the Latvian parliament who have voted in favor of the solution of this very important issue for the Armenian people in Latvia”, she said.
