DHAKA, May 6, 2021 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque today said that a letter asking for permission for BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s departure abroad for better treatment has been received, opinion on the matter will be given as soon as possible.
“We will send our views in this regard to the Home Ministry as soon as possible,” Anisul told the newsmen today afternoon.
He said, âBegum Zia’s sentence has been stayed under Section 401 of the Criminal Procedure Code. It remains to be seen whether there is an opportunity to consider matters related to the application abroad. Then our opinion will be sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs.â

DHAKA, April 15, 2021 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today said the chief justice (CJ) will take a decision on whether to continue or suspend court proceedings during this ongoing coronavirus situation.
“As the infection of coronavirus has gone up, I hope the chief justice would take the correct decision in this regard,” he said while talking to newsmen after attending the namaj-e-janaza of former law minister and newly elected Supreme Court Bar Council President Abdul Matin Khasru, MP, on the Supreme Court premises.
About the contribution of Abdul Matin Khasru, the law minister said Khasru was a dedicated follower of ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and he had full faith in the spirit of War of Liberation.

DHAKA, Apr 10, 2021 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque today warned that the government will take stern action against those who will try to create anarchy and damage people’s lives and properties in the country.
“People voted to Sheikh Hasina’s government to discharge duties to serve them and If anyone tries to impede the process, the government will take action in accordance with the law of the land , ” Anisul said while talking to newsmen after receiving the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine at the Armed Forces Medical College in the capital’s Kurmitola this afternoon.
