ISLAMABAD:
The opposition in the upper house of parliament rejected on Saturday the presidential ordinance regarding change of voting procedure in the Senate election as “malicious and unconstitutional” and demanded impeachment of President Arif Alvi.
The government, however, put up a robust defence of the ordinance, with Prime Minister’s Adviser on Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan declaring that the opposition could move “impeachment motion a 100 times and the treasury would thwart it a 100 times”.
Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani chaired the requisitioned Senate session. Opposition Leader Raja Zafarul Haq initiated the debate on the presidential ordinance on changes in the procedure of the Senate elections.

Local YouTubers should be engaged to promote tourism, says State Minister
>On Thursday, the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan suggested that the top YouTubers of this country should be engaged to promote tourism in Pakistan.
According to the state minister, having the local YouTubers share what Pakistan has to offer to the world has a greater impact and there should be less reliance on international vloggers. He further added that YouTubers in the country are already earning a good amount of money and these YouTubers can further apply their skills to promote the tourism sector in Pakistan for a more global impact.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan on Thursday suggested that the top YouTubers of the country should be engaged to promote tourism instead of inviting vloggers from abroad to tell the world what Pakistan has to offer.
The state minister said that the YouTubers were already promoting the country as well as earning handsome amount from YouTube – the online video-sharing platform – and they should be utilised for the promotion of tourism in the country and abroad.
