ISLAMABAD: The blame game between the government and the opposition over economic woes, rising inflation and price hike continued in the National Assembly Friday as the opposition accused the government of being incapable of controlling prices while the government blamed the PPP and PML-N governments of for the worst economic situation.
The opposition also protested giving the floor to the minister for power before them during a discussion on the price hike in the country. NA session to be convened on opposition’s requisition

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser decided to convene session of National Assembly on requisition of the opposition.
It was decided in the meeting with Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan, who called on NA Speaker on Tuesday. Matters pertaining to legislation and issues of national importance came under discussion. It was also agreed that proceedings of the House would be conducted according to rules of procedure and conduct of business in the National Assembly.
Asad Qaisar said that it was joint responsibility of government and opposition to conduct the proceedings of the House in a smooth manner and ensure a conducive atmosphere in the House. He said that commotion in the House is neither a service to democracy nor to the people. He further said that issues of national importance and legislation would be discussed in the forthcoming session.
