Shortness of breath, dizziness, fatigue and chest pain might sound like generic or non-specific symptoms, but they can indicate a serious heart issue that requires consultation with a cardiologist. Those symptoms could reveal bradycardia, a slower than normal heart rate.
Bradycardia is a heart rate of slower than 60 beats per minute. Because the heart isn’t pumping the more typical 60-100 times a minute, it’s not delivering enough oxygen through the body. Feeling faint or fatigued is common with bradycardia – but it also poses a risk of cardiac arrest.
