Russell Street bomber flags potential court challenge to ABC drama

Advertisement One of the Russell Street bombers may seek an injunction to prevent the ABC screening an upcoming series that includes a recreation of the deadly blast, to ensure they receive a fair trial in a fresh unrelated case, a court has heard. Two men who faced trial over the March 1986 bombing that killed police officer Angela Taylor and injured 22 others are currently charged with unrelated serious criminal charges. If committed to trial, they could face a jury within the next three years. The Russell Street bombing scene from the ABC’s series The Newsreader.
