Parkgate Junior School have been making gift boxes for Age UK Primary school children have been making shoe boxes of gifts for the elderly community in Watford. The pupils at Parkgate Junior School in North Watford, have put together around 100 boxes of goodies which will distributed by Age UK for Christmas. Head teacher Sarah Pipe said: This Christmas, lots of children will still not see their grandparents and some of the local older people will not get any treats. We thought it would be a lovely idea to give some of our local men and women a little surprise. Aarav and Eshaal, both aged ten, said: We feel proud because I like helping people, especially in the middle of the pandemic when no one is seeing anyone.
