After Biden s children and grandchildren arrived in monochromatic suits of stark white, bold pink, and neutrals, and before her stepmother hit the stage in a purple look by Christopher John Rogers, Ella s look was a fashion-forward departure. She wore a Miu Miu tartan coat with crystal-encrusted shoulders and a dramatic pilgrim collar over a burgundy dress by New York designer Batsheva, according to the designer s Instagram.

Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff is already an internet fave, and her appearance at the presidential inauguration has only cemented her status.
The new vice president is known simply as “Momala” to Ella Emhoff and her brother Cole, the children of Kamala Harris’ husband, lawyer Doug Emhoff.
Thrust into the limelight by her stepmum’s stunning ascent to the White House, images of Ella arriving at the inauguration, seemingly bemused by Mike Pence’s presence, were beamed across America and around the world on Wednesday (20 January).

A fashion designer and student at the Parsons School of Design in New York City, Ella instantly turned heads and sparked Twitter buzz as she walked down the steps of the Capitol alongside her brother, Cole. She chose to wear Miu Miu s Shetland Pied De Poule coat while watching her stepmom make history as the first woman, first Black person, and first person of south Asian descent to serve as Vice President of the United States.
The plaid number stood out among the sea of monochromatic outfits at the event, due in large part to the copper and gold crystal embellishments dripping down the shoulders.
