Yarmouth residents are invited to comment on the Cape Cod Gateway Airport (HYA) 20-year master plan, designed to ensure that the facility continues to operate safely, and meets the aviation needs of the National Airspace System and the local community.
Preparing an airport master plan is required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to help plan for the future. It highlight airport projects in need of future federal funding, including rehabilitation of existing infrastructure, and public input is an important part of the process.

Cape Cod Beer has planned a weekend bash March 12-14 featuring a specialty food menu from JP s Twisted BBQ.
The taproom menu includes Bangers and Mash, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Irish Stew and Shepherd’s Pie. All COVID rules and regs apply. You do not need to pay in order to sit inside the brewery, but there will be no live music inside.
Weather permitting, the Pourmen will play two outdoor sets Saturday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and 3 to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $5. Open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Barnstable Municipal Airport rebranding as Cape Cod Gateway Airport

Barnstable Municipal Airport will begin 2021 with a new name and logo: Cape Cod Gateway Airport.
Along with diversifying the airport s revenue streams, enhancing the airport s image as a regional transportation leader is one of its top business objectives, Airport Manager Katie Servis told the Barnstable Town Council Thursday.
In October, the Airport Commission chaired by John Griffin approved the rebranding and taking Barnstable out of the name of the airport to better align with the facility s commercial future and help change regional transportation expectations.
An estimated 222,000 passengers arrived to our region in 2018 but used another airport, Servis said. Likewise, an estimated 209,000 air traveling passengers who live on Cape Cod are using other airports to depart the region.
