FirstCaribbean sponsors water stations at schools

For the third time this year, First Caribbean International Bank has pledged to play its part in reducing single use-plastics and providing free, purified drinking water for Barbados’ students.
On Tuesday, they launched a new water station at Queen’s College through Newport Water’s Hydrate Barbados Initiative.
On Wednesday, students at the Combermere school were also supplied with their own hydration station, sponsored by the bank.
The Hydrate Barbados Programme has conceptualized a COVID-safe solution to provide Barbadians on the go with free, filtered water.
First Caribbean International Bank has been keen on the idea, starting with a station at the Lester Vaughan School in September. Lester Vaughan has recorded a remarkable 10, 902 (500ml) bottle fills since installation and cumulatively, all Hydrate Barbados stations have just surpassed a total
