Water tender outside the credit union branch as they conducted their investigation.
Barbados Public Workers Co-operative Credit Union Limited (BPWCCUL) Broad Street branch location was closed for a period today (December 22) as staff and clients evacuated.
The Barbados Fire Service received the call at 1:31 pm.
The response was two water tenders from the Bridgetown Fire Station.
According to Leading Fire Officer Rudolph Farnum, the findings reported the cause as an activated fire alarm.
Despite this being a hectic time with longer than usual lines due in part to the short business week plus the COVID-19 protocols in effect, Farnum called on Barbadians to adhere to fire alarms.
