View Comments Film Prize Junior’s record-breaking 2021 festival came to a close last night during a live broadcasted Awards Ceremony where the winning films were announced and over $10,000 in scholarships and media grants were awarded. The festival, presented by the Louisiana Film Entertainment Association (LFEA) and the Prize Foundation, featured a record-breaking 68 films from 37 schools across the state of Louisiana and saw over 3,000 votes come in from 49 states across the country as well as from England, Ontario Canada, and Puerto Rico over three times the number of votes from last year’s festival. “I’m not sure we were fully prepared for the overwhelming response to Film Prize Junior 2021,” said Gregory Kallenberg, executive director of the Prize Foundation and Film Prize Junior. “These incredibly talented young filmmakers created some amazing films, and then they brought a massive crowd to the festival. We were blown away!”
