🠟 Jayhawks Host Rock Chalk Classic This Weekend – Kansas Jayhawks

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas track & field teams host its first outdoor meet at Rock Chalk Park in nearly two years this weekend, when it hosts the Rock Chalk Classic April 30-May 1 in Lawrence, Kansas. The Rock Chalk Classic begins at 1 p.m. CT on Friday with the start of the field events and continues into the afternoon with the track events beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday’s action begins at 11 a.m. Admission to the meet is $10 for adults and $5 for children. All seating is general admission. This weekend’s Rock Chalk Classic serves as Kansas’ Senior Day for 26 Kansas seniors who will be recognized in two separate ceremonies on Saturday. 🠟 Kansas Track & Field Heads to Arkansas for John McDonnell Invitational – Kansas Jayhawks

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas men’s and women’s track & field teams travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas to compete in the John McDonnell Invitational April 24-25, competing amongst some of the top talent in the country. The John McDonnell Invitational begins on Saturday, April 24 at 10:15 a.m. CT, with the start of field events, followed by track events beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday’s competition continues at 10 a.m. The meet serves as the eighth of the outdoor season for the Jayhawks, before they return home to host the Rock Chalk Classic at Rock Chalk Park from April 30 – May 1. The Rock Chalk Classic will serve as Kansas’ sole home meet of the season as well as senior day.

⚽ Jayhawks Travel to Missouri for Border Showdown

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas soccer (6-3-3) travels to Columbia, Missouri for a Saturday night match on April 17 at 7 p.m. (CT) against Missouri (5-5-3). Saturday’s match will be broadcast on SEC+ Network with Ben Arnet and Simon Rose on the call. The Jayhawks and the Tigers will face off for the 23rd time in soccer. Missouri holds an 11-10-1 edge in the all-time series. For games played in Columbia, MU maintains a 7-4-0 record. Most recently, the two programs faced off on Nov. 13, 2016 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence. The Jayhawks clinched the win, 1-0, in double overtime with a goal from Lois Heuchan to advance to the second round.

Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs out to the park to enjoy an afternoon at the pitch. The Jayhawks and the Tigers will face off for the 23rd time in program history, this week. Mizzou holds the overall lead with an 11-10-1 record. For games played in Lawrence, Kansas, KU maintains a 6-2-0 record.
