Financial Warning Shot

Financial Warning Shot "Depending a lot on the financial situation because Financial Fair Play is there. You have to follow these rules but we have to bring what we need.” "We have to be ambitious but at the same time, we have to manage the situation. We maybe have some players that have to leave.” "If they leave, it will give us more chances to approach other players and improve the squad." "Everybody knows that this club has spent a lot of money in the last few years so that means that Financial Fair Play is there, so you have to respect the rules and you have to manage in the best way possible.”

Simms may be out for a while after groin surgery

Simms may be out for a while after groin surgery Thursday, 15 July, 2021 Ellis Simms missed the crucial playoff final that came at the end of his very successful loan spell with Blackpool last season after he picked up a groin injury. The Blackpool manager, Neil Critchley, has revealed that the Everton player required surgery and may be out of action for a long period heading into the new season as he recovers. This could scupper any chance of Simms continuing his loan spell, which was something Critchley says he would have been interested in for the young striker, who scored 10 goals in his half-season loan spell with The Seasiders.

Surgery center in Beachwood sells for $58.3 million

Surgery center in Beachwood sells for $58.3 million Contributed The Beachwood Medical Center at the corner of Chagrin Boulevard and Richmond Road has changed hands in a $58.3 million deal. The Beachwood Medical Center, 25501 Chagrin Blvd., has been sold by its local ownership to Montecito Medical, a Nashville-based specialist in medical properties, for $58.3 million, according to Cuyahoga County land records. The seller was Manna Isle LLC of Cleveland, a physician-led investor group that developed the 69,800-square-foot property in 2019 and was later joined first by Lake Health and then University Hospitals of Cleveland in the operation. The transaction leaves the operating partnership of the property unchanged as it is principally controlled by Lake Health and UH, according to a release on the transaction. Separately, Lake Health merged operations into UH last month.

Quest for justice after man's body left in unmarked grave in Australia

Mariné Lourens05:00, May 01 2021 STUFF A Kiwi family spent more than five years battling to get their loved one's body back from Australia after he was buried in an unmarked grave. But their fight for justice is still not over. By the time Deborah Wylie found out her brother, Paul Tait, had died in New South Wales, he had already been dead 15 months, his body lying in an unmarked mass grave. Wylie fought for years to have his body exhumed and brought home, but her fight for accountability and an apology from authorities still continues. Mariné Lourens reports. Telling the story of how her brother’s body ended up in an unmarked mass grave in Sydney for more than five years does not come easy for Deborah Wylie, 59. She has spent 16 years fighting this fight in private, not wanting to relinquish her family’s privacy to the scrutiny of the public eye.

Everton U18s advance in FA Youth Cup with fine win at Chelsea

Everton U18s advance in FA Youth Cup with fine win at Chelsea Thursday, 15 April, 2021 Everton U18s secured another excellent FA Youth Cup win on Thursday as a late goal from Sean McAllister's earned the Toffees a superb 2-1 FA Youth Cup 5th-round victory at Chelsea. With the scores tied at 1-1 and just 3 minutes left on the clock, Northern Ireland youth international McAllister fired a shot from 20 yards that squirmed under the Chelsea goalkeeper and across the line. Everton move on to the quarter-finals, where they will face West Bromwich Albion. The win represented another significant scalp for Paul Tait's Blues — who struck a 98th-minute winner to knock out holders Manchester City in the previous round — with Chelsea having enjoyed significant success in the competition in recent years. The west London side won the Youth Cup for five straight years between 2013 and 2018.
