Over 40,000 applications received for 75 onion storage facilities in Maharashtra s Aurangabad

Some cultivators are now demanding that the facilities be provided to all applicants.
A whopping 40,000 plus applications have been received for 75 onion storage facilities in
Maharashtra.
Aurangabad district has received the applications for facilities to be allotted by the Maharashtra government this year.
The official from the agriculture department said that the storage structures are provided to farmers under the
Maha Falotpadan Vikas Abhiyan.
The agency reported that nearly 13,000 applications were received last year and about 1,000 onion storage structures were allotted to the farmers. We have received 40,623 applications online this year for these structures, the official said.
