A short interview he had with Detective Tina Malone after his arrest was played during his trial in the Palmerston North District Court on Wednesday. Mogford knew the code for the safe and gave it to police, Harvey said. Police searched a storage unit at the facility hired by Mogford, finding multiple firearms and cannabis inside. One of the guns had the Mongrel Mob insignia stamped on it, Harvey said. A key witness for the Crown was an undercover officer who went by the codename Solomon. Solomon, giving evidence via an audio-visual link from an unknown location, said he was ordered by his handlers to go to Mogford’s address on Mathew St, Dannevirke, to purchase meth. He went there multiple times, mostly buying meth in .25g or .5g amounts, although he did once talk to a male there about buying larger quantities.

Bradley King s family is vowing to fight for justice after he was assaulted in his prison cell, later dying of his injuries. Police could not comment further because the matter was before the courts. Bradley was 36 and in custody for the first time facing burglary charges. He planned to plead guilty to three. The man charged with murder was previously facing a count of wounding King with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, but police had said further charges were possible as their homicide investigation continued. King’s family have petitioned Parliament for a select committee inquiry into the death. The ombudsman and prison inspectorate are also investigating, while Corrections has completed an “operational review” into the incident, but hasn’t made the findings public.

The supply of methamphetamine to New Zealand is decreasing, but it s still leaving a stain on the country. People are being encouraged to test for drug contamination before renting or buying a home. They found a cannabis grinder, multiple cellphones, $5680 cash and weapons in his car and 2.8g of meth in his top pocket after a search at the police station. He was searched again at Manawatū Prison where, after he acted suspiciously, he handed over a bag with 3g of meth. But the big find took place on Christmas Day, when an officer smelt a burning chemical odour coming from Tregoweth’s cell.
